Data controller

Garphyttans Idrottsförening (Swedish organisation number 875001-2505), orienteering section, Härdvägen 4, 719 40 Garphyttan, is the data controller for the details processed on bluemountaintrail.run and in connection with the race. Questions: hej@bluemountaintrail.run.

Details you give when you register

When you register you give your name, year of birth, gender, club or home town, e-mail, phone, the name and phone number of a next of kin, and your chosen course. The next-of-kin details are only used if something happens to you during the race. You can give your next of kin after paying; it must be given by the time you collect your race number.

The details are used to run the race, publish the start list and results, and send confirmations and information about the race. They are stored in Cloudflare’s data centres in the EU. Confirmations are sent through the e-mail service Sender. Card details never pass through the organiser: payment is made with Stripe, which handles them under its own terms. The processing is based on the agreement for your registration.

Start list and results

Name, club or home town, course and time are published in the start list and results on bluemountaintrail.run and by the timing provider, and remain there as history. If you do not want your name in the lists, or want your details deleted after the race, e-mail hej@bluemountaintrail.run.

How long the details are kept

In the organiser’s registration records, the names and phone numbers of next of kin are deleted the day after the race. The runner’s name, e-mail, phone and year of birth are kept for twelve months after the race for invitations and marketing ahead of next year’s race. After that, e-mail, phone and year of birth are deleted from the registration records.

Newsletter and notifications

Mailings ahead of next year’s race are based on a balancing of interests, and you can opt out at any time through the unsubscribe link in the e-mail or by e-mailing hej@bluemountaintrail.run.

The e-mail address you leave to be told when registration opens is stored in the e-mail service Sender and is only used for mailings about the race. Every mailing has an unsubscribe link.

Visitor statistics and cookies

The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser to follow you. Visitor statistics are collected with Umami, which uses no cookies and stores no personal data: we see how many people visit which pages and where they come from, never who. The IP address is only used to derive an anonymous visitor id that changes every day and is not stored. That is why there is no cookie prompt. Registration, payment and Your registration use only what the browser needs to work.

Your rights

You have the right to know what details we hold about you, to have them corrected or deleted, and to object to the processing: e-mail hej@bluemountaintrail.run. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se).
