General
The competition rules of the Swedish Athletics Association (Svenska Friidrottsförbundet) apply. You must follow the instructions of the marshals, and following the right course is your own responsibility.
You are running through beautiful and fragile countryside, partly in nature reserves. Littering of any kind is forbidden.
If there has been an accident or someone is injured, you must help.
Going off course
You may leave the marked course for a while, as long as you do not shorten your distance.
If you leave the course, you must rejoin it at the same place. So if you have missed a marker and gone the wrong way, run back the same way until you are on the marked course again, and carry on from there.
Anyone who leaves the marked course in any other way is disqualified. That includes cutting corners or taking short cuts off the course.
No time penalties or time credits are given for going off course.
Outside support
You may accept drinks or other support during the race, but never in a way that blocks other runners.
Litter
Any littering along the course, deliberate or not, leads to disqualification.
Safety
If a marshal or medic tells you to stop racing, you must do so at once.
You must stop and help a fellow runner who is injured, if the injury may be serious.
Doping
Doping is forbidden. The rules set by Antidoping Sverige, the Swedish anti-doping authority, apply at the race.
Protests
A protest against a disqualification must be made in writing to the race management no later than 60 minutes after the runner concerned has finished.
If you drop out
Make your way back to the race arena if you can and report that you have dropped out. If you cannot, find the nearest marshal, who will contact the race management.
Be considerate
The courses run on the Bergslagsleden trail, on mountain-bike trails and through nature reserves. Show consideration for other runners, walkers and cyclists.
At your own risk
You take part entirely at your own risk.
Photos and film
Photos and film taken before, during or after the race may be published on this website and on the organiser’s public social media.
